30th Anniversary Grand Prix

2025 marks the 30th consecutive year that Bedworth RCCC have been racing outdoors on-road!

To celebrate the occasion, we are holding a grand prix meeting.

There will be trophies for the top three in each final! These will be the fantastic wooden plaques that we usually only give out at nationals; engraved with Bedworth’s logo, with additional decals for the GP30 event.

Event Date & Entry

The event is scheduled for 6 July 2025.

We have a backup date of 13 July in case of bad weather. We’ll make this call at least a few days before the meeting based on the weather forecast.

Should we reschedule to the backup date, all entries will automatically carry over. If you can’t make the backup date, please let us know and you’ll get a full refund.

Entry Fees:

  • £10 for Bedworth RCCC members
  • £14 for non-members
  • Half-price for juniors (17 or under on the event date)

Event Format

  • One-day event
  • Timed practice
  • 3 rounds of round-by-round qualifying; best 2 to count.
  • 3-leg finals; best 2 to count to determine positions for trophies!

Frontie Rules

Frontie will run to the BRCA 2025 rules with control electrics and tyres:

  • Ride 2024 or 2025 treaded tyres, RI-36088.
To encourage racers to dust off their Frontie kit and race the GP30 event, we’re allowing 2024 tyres alongside the new 2025 ones.
We’ve done quite a lot of running on both tyres on Wednesday evenings and there doesn’t seem to be any performance difference.

  • Hobbywing fixed timing 17.5t G2.1 motor
  • Hobbywing XR10 Justock G3 or G3S or Orca Totem ESC with 15k rev limit
